The Classic Bison Burger Recipe
- 1 lb. (2.7 – 3.6 kg) Ground Bison
- 1 egg
- 2 tbs. bread crumbs
- 2 tbs. steak spice (or to taste)
- 2 tbs. ketchup
- 2 tbs. shallots chopped
- Fresh ground pepper
- 4 shallots thinly sliced
- Light oil such as Canola for frying
- 4 slices cheddar
- 4 slices bacon
- 4 slices tomato
- Sliced Pickles
- 4 large buns
In a large frying pan, heat the oil and fry shallots until golden brown. Remove them from the oil with a slotted spoon and transfer them to a paper towel to drain off excess fat.
Cook the bacon. When done, cook patties for 5 to 6 minutes on each side.
Toast the buns, and get ready to assemble. Add condiments and toppings of your choice, and enjoy!
